I like those sandwhiches

So a yesterday I got home from an after school bible study and I needed a snack cause I was HUNGRY! So I get my sandwhich all made and turned to grab my cup and some chips. I turned around and Lucy....... LICKED, My sandwhich! I was upset so I cut the part she licked off and gave it too Lucy. Wow, it was amazing how fast she ate it. Now when I make sandwhiches I know to guard them well.

New Cookies

In December, a friend that works with Bill shared a recipe for homemade dog treats. Lucy has now decided that she would rather not eat any treats but these. The recipe is pretty simple and has a few different variations, but the chicken peanut butter are her favorite! She will eat store treats sometimes but if she sees the jar of homemade cookies you can forget it. It doesn't take long to make them so I try to keep them around regularly.

Holidays

Lucy had a wonderful time through the holidays.

Thanksgiving - We all went to Mimi's house for Thanksgiving and spent the day with family. Lucy got to sample some turkey and loved it. She also tasted an oatmeal cookie and liked that alot too.

Christmas - There were so many Christmas parties and get togethers this year. Lucy seemed to enjoy all of the people visiting. For Christmas, Lucy ended up with several new stuffed toys, some homemade treats, and new tennis balls. She has definitely decided that stuffed toys are awesome. She sleeps with them tucked between her paws or up against her face. Too cute.

No to Nyla

So after visiting cousin Clark we thought we'd get Lucy a nyla bone to help her teeth a bit. Yeah, nothing doing she just looks at it and laughs at us. So today we bough a Purina raw-hide free dog bone thing. She LOVED it, I mean really loved it. As in she started chewing on it and ate the entire bone in about 45 minutes of non-stop gnawing. We were going to take it away but we decided we'd like to keep our fingers. So lesson learned, buy the smaller size as she will not give up that type of bone half way through.

Lucy is LAZY

So Julia decided Lucy needed a blanket and covered her up yesterday.

I guess Lucy figured why leave the comfy blanket behind

Cousin Clark

Lucy had a play date with her cousin, Clark, a very rambunctious, 3 year old Golden Retriever. Lucy and Clark hit it off great. They went for a little jog around the yard that turned into an all out sprint, poor Clark. Clark was trying to be a little too friendly and Lucy let him know who was boss. Then she took up residence on his dog bed for a nap while he entertained the family and was finally relegated to the yard.
